Dear Sade,

When the great philosopher Thoreau was asked the secret to happiness he said two words: "Simplify, simplify." So, in keeping with this wise advice I bring you 33 words that appeared in a magazine advertisement for abc Shoe Stores. Remember them well Sade and apply them to your life and your art. They were read twice at your mother's wedding, once by me and once on behalf of Paul who was in Australia. Here they are:
